Easy to remember guide:

If you wouldn't put it in your mouth then it doesn't go in your butt.

If you would put it in your mouth then you still need to think twice (or more) to make sure it's safe for your butt.

This would be why we warn people over and over NOT to put things in their butts...yes we do sometimes feel like we are talking to children but then we see a video like this one! Makes it all worth it for me at least.
