Pending verification, guess that means I didn't make the cutoff?

I've seen that a couple of times too. I think it happens when you order more than a certain amount and pay for it all with gift cards. I assume they just want to make sure you're not a hacker. The verification didn't seem to slow my order down much.

I do believe they manually verify gift cards so you might want to give anywhere from a few hours to a full business day to have the amount verified. Usually it's very quick though.

Since I always use gift cards I try to add a day to any order. ie. if I'm going to order early Thursday, I look at when it would be here if I ordered on a Friday. Shipping times have been much more reliable since then.

I did not know that about purchasing with gift cards! I will keep that in mind in the future when trying to calculate my estimated arrival date for orders. Thanks for the info!

It has happened to me every time I have placed an order, it isn't a problem, it just takes a bit more time.

I didn't know they verified them manually either. This was my first gc/points-only order, so the delay was unexpected. It must be a pain to have to verify every GC, though I understand why they have to do it. My order is in process now — hurray! — I just expect that it's going to arrive on a day when I'm not home.

You guys are correct. We manually verify complete gift card purchases, but we are usually able to export it to the warehouse for shipment within one business day of the order being placed. If you don't want a package to be left at your door without someone being there to accept it, you can write in the shipping instructions that a signature is required, that way they won't leave it at the door, and you can pick it up at your convenience.

UPS leaving the package isn't an issue, I just won't get to play with my goodies for awhile.
