Anyone use UPS Sure Post?

Contributor: SimpleHedonist SimpleHedonist
I just placed my first order since the new shipping options came into play, and was wondering if anyone else has received a shipment yet from UPS Sure Post? My order from today's expected delivery date is the 13th of July, and I was wondering if it actually will take that long?

Yes---it does!!! I will never use it since it adds another week to shipping. I am just super glad it is an option we can either choose or opt out of now. I see this as a great job on the staff for listening to our concerns when they first implemented it.

I was wondering what " UPS Sure post" was, it makes it sound like it will come faster... But I guess it is the exact opposite.

I hope your package comes soon for you! I hate waiting!

Hmmmm, wish I would have looked at the time estimate before I ordered, lol!!!! Don't think I will be using the free shipping option much anymore... paying an extra $6 seems worth it!

Used it once, and my delivery date was actually a week past what the estimate was. Whoa, was I unhappy. I am glad to have the option, since UPS ground shipping to me is only 3 days.

I am not a fan of UPS sure post, I would much get it via USPS since it only takes 3 days that way

I ordered something on the 11th. I opted for the free shipping (UPS Mail Innovations) but on the order form at the top where it says "actual shipping" It says SurePost. From there it said I wouldn't get the package till the 19th.

However, I just figured out how to do the tracking and the track said that it should be here on the 14th, but estimated shipping time left is just one day.

Sooo who knows, but it doesn't sound like it's going to take an extra week. *fingers crossed*

I was just putting together an order and was so bummed to see that Sure Post is now the free option! I can't grumble too much since hey, it is free, but that is the slowest and most frustrating shipping ever!

I ordered something earlier this week and it didn't take as long as I thought it would have but,I just prefer to use UPS either way.

I've ordered twice using surepost. Both times it only took one extra business day compared to USPS. The estimated time was over a week longer, but so far it hasn't been too bad.

I HATE UPS Surepost, Mail Innovations, and DHL Globalpost. Awful, awful inventions that torture me.

I just put an order in Friday night with Surepost. I decided to go with Surepost because I know I'm not going to use what I bought immediately. It was just a sale price I couldn't pass up! It's supposed to arrive on the 24th... we'll see!

Every time I have used it my order has come about 5-8 days sooner than estimated l.

I've used it a few times. Each time it added only 1 extra day to my shipping. The additional day is to allow UPS to drop the package off at the USPS for my local mail carrier to deliver it to my mailbox with my daily mail delivery. It's ok when I'm not in a hurry.

I'm not a huge fan of it. I'd rather get my packages from UPS and not from my post office. It takes longer too.

OK, I'm in South Florida. It shipped Monday and I got it today, which is what UPS Ground would have been to me. I still think I'm more comfortable with UPS (their transit times are guaranteed), but it took no longer than usual. Maybe the process is becoming more streamlined.

That's good to hear, but I'm going to be pessimistic and guess that you got lucky.

It's certainly possible. I may try it again on my next order (as long as I'm not in a hurry!) and see how it goes.

I've used UPS Sure Post. Frankly, I hate it. At the end, it still gets delivered by USPS so I'm not sure why they have Sure Post. It took about 2 weeks + for each shipment coming through Sure Post.

Used it again, order placed the Monday the 23rd, shipped Tuesday the 24th, arrived today. I think we have a winner. If it's something that saves both me and Eden money, than I will continue to use it.

I used it a handful of times. It seems to have my items sent to me about a day or two after they would be here normally. I don't like that. I want my items fast. If next day wasn't so much...I'd do it every time.

I hear you! If I am desperate to get something fast, I will go ahead and buy more product, as I hate paying for shipping if I have the option not to

Both times it told me a week or so, but when I pulled up the tracking it said 3 BDs and arrived in 3 BDs.

The first time I used it, my delivery date was a week after the estimate. The three times I've used it since, I've gotten it a week before the estimated delivery. I'll take it!
