I have been gifting gift cards to contributors that I interview for my SexIs articles but the gift cards are showing as sold out. Is it against the rules to just cash out the points and give them my gift code?? I dont want to break the rules but I also don't want to put the articles on hold either.

This is an interesting question - I'd like to know this as well. It'd be much quicker than purchasing a gift card and waiting for it to be delivered.

That is very true, I didn't think of it in that context. But then again, I guess it could open up some fraud cases on here too. Thats why I am totally unsure if I should even try without asking. I don't want to break the rules.

Lillie, gift cards that you create specifically with your own EdenPoints can't be used on other accounts. Basically, if you cash in your points and give the gift card code to someone else, it simply won't work. They'll receive a message that says something like; "This gift card is not associated with your account." Or something similar--I received an error that made it happen to me once with one of my own gift cards, but I don't remember exactly what it says. This cuts down on point farming, which used to be a huge issue with Eden.

If you want to gift people a gift card, you'll have to do it by actually buying them one.

Ok, thanks for that info. I get that it could be a bad thing, I was just hoping it would be possible since they are sold out of gift cards... Wow.. sold out of gift cards.. is that not the weirdest thing to run out of. LOL.

u could have them make a wishlist, and then use your points to send them the items through the gifting option

I am giving them the option now. Until the gift cards are restocked. Some people would rather get the full 25 and use it with another purchase so they can get more things without having to pay shipping. Understandable. I guess we will see

I remember reading on a post a while ago that codes from your account won't work for someone else.
