Question for those who give affiliate code to friends, family, etc...

I was thinking about telling my friends, family, etc about EF and give them my affiliate code as well. I'm wondering though, how many of these people would actually use it when they would see on the main page of EF that they can use the wish code for 30% off when our affiliate codes are only worth 15% off?

I mean, of course friends and family would want to use your specific code, but at the same time, when EF is giving 30% on higher orders, doesn't that sort of take away from those who hand out there affiliate codes?

Since I haven't been extremely active with my affiliation code, it's not a huge deal to me.. but I was wondering how others feel about this and have these sort of codes put a damper on your commisions during the time when EF promotes codes like this that are double what the code offers? (hopefully this makes sense). I'm wondering, should I start handing out my code more frequently once the promotion is over?

I always hand out my affiliate code. Whether or not there are other sales going on isn't under my control. But if I hand out my code, they will always have it regardless of sales. I have people who text me for the code (they know I have one but don't write it down or whatever) on a somewhat normal basis. People like helping other people out.

For the Wish Code, you have to make a certain size order, for the affiliate code, you do not, so it's not taking that much away from me, and I'd really rather not deprive my friends of the better deal if they do make a big order.

It's always worth a shot, and, like AndroAngel said, promos like the 30% are for huge orders and 15% off a regular $30 order is a good deal.

I'm just excited to have a code. It makes me feel special.

give them (maybe email) a link to home page from your trackable urls. that way you get 20% commission which is better than your code anyways. then they enter current coupon code/better deal in checkout. win-win

How about you? Do you use your own code for orders or the higher 30 percent off code?

My friends and family have still always entered the code and from what I have noticed while it doesn't give them the 15%, it does track that they made a purchase 'with' my code.
