I've been to sex parties twice in my life, and I think there was always as much men as women. We had a lot of fun. Men like to joke around more than women during those parties and start a few good laughs.

And I do agree with Mr. Sauce, I did look up the possibilities of joining such a program, but the one I looked up did not have many products, they were overpriced and with the least safe materials ever. I would be really uncomfortable endorsing that company and selling their products to other women.

And besides, the online store I would have had as a result was only in English. Since I would have mostly French people at sex parties, I would have failed at completely providing a service in my customer's target language.

I like the idea of EF having this type of program. They already have so much going on, I think it would be great fit. I've never actually been to a party and I'm not even sure where I might find the information around here to find one, but still. There were some great ideas (like the brochures). Information to take home, education, quality, a little fun..those are definitely things I would hope to find at a sex party. I think it would be a lot of work for those who wanted to host them so I hope the program would be set up well and have a fair compensation. I can't imagine it not going well, there are already so many people that love EF and the products they sell.

I would like to make one tiny little point regarding direct sales...how would this be pulled off with the large number of items EF currently offers. Experience shows that if you are party based but have a large catalog it is confusing and overwhelming to the customers. Which items would be carried in this? This is just something for the EF staff to consider. I would hate for them to launch one and have a thick catty that people don't like. I have a ton of experience in direct sales, and the more products there are the more difficult selling becomes.

My first thought was include only toys that are rated 3 or more stars, but that still leaves a massive number of toys.

Then I thought, what if some of the top contributors each made a list of EF's best toys that they think should make it into the catalog. Thoughts?

This is giving me some great ideas for workshops, which I think is the logical extensive of this idea. First I can put together a collection of toys that fit a specific theme (well on it's way, that is!) and then instead of holding parties just to try and sell toys, I could hold a workshop that's free or "by donation", show off a few great toys in the meantime, hand out affiliate flyers or send links to specific products in an appropriate email or blog post afterward and wait for the affiliate $ to find it's way back!

Definitely some potential there!

What about putting together a local book club that reads The Naked Reader club books or maybe a toy of the month club and discussion group, or even better, a "show and tell" group!

I think that sex toy parties are a great idea! I'd like to see as many all-male and both-sexes parties as I see all-female parties, though.

I feel the same with the sex toy parties around campus here, too. Ick. They don't even make them fun! I say Sex & Sushi, or its sister variant Porn & Sushi, BBQ and BJs, c'mon! It's time to get creative...

I think it could be interesting to do something like an educational workshop, and at the end of the night, give each participant a free bullet vibe and a 15% off coupon to EF. I know there are college campuses that have events of that nature. The hostess/host could discuss how to pick out toys, the pros and cons of different materials, and that sort of thing. It could even be done with a PowerPoint presentation, instead of actual toys, I suppose. And by distributing a coupon, but not taking orders, nobody would feel pressured or awkward about their friend(s) knowing what they ordered. Which leads to the question -- can we get quantity discounts on things?

I've never been to an actual sex toy party, but I would so love to host one some day. If this ever gets off the ground at all, count me in!

You know what would be awesome... If there was an option to choose if the party you hosted could be directed to only women or directed to both men and women. So that way the people who live in the conservitive areas in the country can still have their parties. I would totaly have one for men and women.

I sell for a company and we totally allow couples. It makes it so much more fun!! Our prices are some of the lowest I've ever seen and my guests say the same and I don't know about other sales reps but I studied every toy in the line for hours and know my products.

those parties are a blast! I would totally support it. There would be some research and guidelines involved because different states have different weird rules (for novelty use only, etc)

I would totally be down to participate in a EF party. Pure Romance is awful and is horrible to their clients and reps. I have a friend that is a rep for PR and it is slowly sucking the life out of her. Not to mention they don't train their reps about material safety etc.
I agree with J's Alley, about the toys being over priced, it is out of control.
There needs to be more of an educational component to these parties, which I have never felt. I think EF has an upper hand there, since sex ed is huge 'round these parts.

I think that if there were different packs of products, say a pack more geared towards women, men, couples, ect. Not large packs either, say maybe 60 items each and keep changing the packs up based on whats popular that quarter or season. Have special mini packs out for the holidays that are themed for that or for like bachelor/bachelor-ette parties then that would keep people from being overwhelmed. Only have one or two packs available on hand at a time for the people to leaf through. That way the party can easily be tailored to whomever is there. And make sure the rep makes available the edens site with their affiliate code if the product they are looking for isnt available in the catalogs on hand or offer to call them at a later time with some other toy options and make the sale that way.

eden carries party supplies (like the penis pens). you could use freebie you've received as prizes. set up laptops for online orders. send home goodies bags with your affiliate flyers.

be everyone's personal shopper. we would all be more educational and helpful imo than the typical toy party.

that just leaves sample stuff for goodie bags. maybe eden can make a party starter kit at a reasonable price, or price tied to amount of orders...sell alot get the next kit free. little stuff like single wipes, cock rings, lubes, condoms, dams.
