Smart post

I wasn't too sure where to put this, so this area seemed to fit the best.

Has anyone else noticed that "smart" post is very subjective? I've only had one or two packages sent to me the old way before EF went "smart" post. It seemed to be ok at first, but then I noticed that the tracking was hit or miss and sometimes just WAY off. I had one package sitting in NJ for a few days and then miraculously show up. I've had other packages move so fast and accurately that I was in awe.

I had something like that happen to me a few weeks ago. It set in NJ a few days or so it said, then 2 days later when I checked it again it said leaving Charlotte. So I pretty much know from that it will be 2 days cause for some reason it always leaves out from that location at like 2 am. Well I checked back and it was telling me that the info was sent to my post office but the package was on the other side of my state?? That was crazy but some how even though it was 4 hours out of the way it made it here and to my box by the next day.

I don't think smart post updates their info as much as they say they do. All of the weird info that I am getting is usually taking place very early morning. I don't think that anyone is out and about dropping off these packages that early cause they have no place to put them the post office is not open that early.

Actually, a lot of places run 24 hrs with truck traffic at all hours.

I got my two packages today even though SP had them as leaving OH a few days ago. I know its the holiday season still...it just seems strange to me. But, then again, a lot of things are strange to me, but I digress

I think its FedEx in general. I bought an item from Amazon.com and it was shipped (to my surprise) FedEX. It was standard ground, and it went from California, and two days go by and it is in my home town, and smae thing just happened with smart post from EF. Smart Post took longer, which was odd, because NJ is a lot closer to OH than CA is to OH.

Just my experience.

Got a package today. Just realized that it was so long in coming I had to think about what it was. I checked. 12 days shipping. That's a lot considering the other post about notification. I don't actually care, but it is worth noting.
