Amazon.c om boxes instead of plain USPS boxes, among other things...help?

Contributor: ZenaidaMacroura ZenaidaMacroura
So, I placed an order recently. It was to be shipped with UPS next day. I expected it to come in the plain, white box it always comes in, but...it came in a box from Amazon. A dinged up box. Not only that, but one of the things I ordered (a corset) wasn't in the box. Aaand not only that, but my Tenga Flip Hole looked...weird. Like, I know it hadn't been used or anything, but it just looked off. Discolored, falling apart a little, etc.

I submitted a support ticket, and they said that they didn't know why it would come in an Amazon box. I did, however, get the corset a few days later, but again, it was in a brown box (not Amazon this time), and the box was too small for the corset. As in, the corset was all bent up from being put in a too small box.

So...basically my question is...

Is this just me? I've never had problems like this before with EF at all. Everything's always been great. And...what the crap with the Amazon box? Maybe I'm being picky and weird, but ya know...these are sex toys. I plan on having them near my intimate bits, and I don't really like the idea of them shipping in or from something I'm not used to.

Any kind of help or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's pretty darn sketchy. Maybe you could take some pictures and send them in with your support ticket?

This definitely does not sound like Eden's typical high shipping standards. We have also noticed some recent shipping issues. When I called customer service, the lady stated that they were in the process of relocating the warehouse and shipping operations to Liberator's facility in Georgia. I know this is of little comfort when something goes wrong, but these do sound like temporary issues.

Did your order ship from New Jersey?

From your order status page, click order details for the order in question, then click on the link for the USPS tracking number. It's the really long number, like 20 plus digits. Anyways, that link will take you to the USPS tracking page showing when and where your order shipped from and when it arrived at your destination.

I just sent something back for exchange two weeks ago, but I haven't heard back or received the replacement. I misplaced the UPS confirmations number, so I don't know that a ticket is even worth my time since I can't give them any proof that I sent it back. I too imagine the problem is with the operations being shifted from New Jersey to Atlanta.

That can take a few weeks. But I would put in a support ticket to inquire on the status of your return.

Did you use Eden's system to create a return request? Does it create a return authorization number that may be on file somewhere?

Plus, I would think a new new order would need to be created for the replacement product. Is there not a record in your "Order: Status, Exchanges, Returns history at all?

Yeah, there's a number, although there is no proof other than my word that I ever sent it in. As yet there isno record of a new shipment being sent out. Given what Liz NuMe said above, I'll give it a few more days, and then I'll send in a support ticket.

Thanks to you both for the advice.

I have not had much luck with the support tickets at all. You may also want to try the toll free number or a direct e-mail requesting assistance. Good luck!

I received a glass dildo last week that was cracked in half; when I called up they asked me if I'd mind returning it, because they've been getting complaints about the shipping / handling of products.

I'd definitely call and complain or file a support ticket about that and your dilapidated flip hole. Ick!

Also, I feel like I've gotten something in an amazon box, too, but it was a while ago and my memory is fuzzy... I do remember thinking it was mega weird.

I would be a little creeped out, too!

I wonder if they have some kind of partnership with Amazon? I can't imagine why anything would arrive in an Amazon box!

I wanted to update what is going on in my case for the sake of completeness and fact-sharing. After exactly two weeks since I mailed back the item I needed to exchange, I received the replacement. There has been no indication of it being sent in my "Order: Status, Exchanges, Returns" part of my account, so for future reference, you can't use that as an indication of what is going on. All in all, although I wish the turnaround time was a bit quicker, it all worked out just like it is printed up in the instructions.

I also received my USPS International order in an Amazon Box and was wondering about that. Everything inside was fine though.

That is weird! I have had no problems with ordering so far. Maybe someone intercepted your box and didn't like what they got. I swear my postman was borrowing my netflix.

So, I submitted a support ticket days ago, and I decided to return the Fliphole and my corset (just because I got the wrong size--my own fault), but now I'm having a problem with the exchange process. I want to exchange my large corset for an extra large, but when I try it says that the large I bought is only $40 something when it was actually $71. And you can only exchange for something of equal or lesser value, so it won't let me exchange for the XL size because it thinks it costs more.

I submitted a support ticket on 3/3, and nobody's gotten back to me..and it's 3/7 today. I'm kind of frustrated. Maybe I'm just impatient.

Does anybody know who I can email about this? I don't do a very good job of keeping up with the email addresses for EF support and whatnot, so if anyone can tell me, I'd be super happy and appreciative!

Wow, this all really sucks. I had actually been very impressed with the quality of the shipping on products I've ordered. Everything has always come very quickly and the boxes have been in great shape. I hope this really is just a temporary problem.

Replies to tickets seem to be taking a long time lately, I've been waiting since the 28th. I'm not sure if I should just submit a new one, or keep waiting.

Hope you get help soon!

Thanks for the info! I'll go do that right now. I'm sure I'll be taken care of, I just thought it was weird, especially since I've never had any problems before. Must be the move from NJ messing things up, like some others have said. Thanks again! And I'll post back here to let everyone know what happens.

Zenaida,
I'll be waiting for your email and will help with the issues you're having. Please include your order number and name in the email.

As to the Amazon boxes, it actually has nothing to do with Amazon, we purchased them just like any other boxes. As long as the label says Web Merchants, Inc., you can be sure the package was shipped directly from Eden.
Oh, and we stopped buying Amazon boxes
