Foods you'll never eat.

I HATE PICKLES!!! ever since I was a kid the smell has made me sick!! One time in elementary school this nasty girl snuck a pickle out of the lunch room and when we were having a bathroom break she pulled the pickle out and started eating it in the bathroom!!!!!! Needless to say the combination of public restrooms and pickles made me so sick I went back into the stall and puked....

Eggs are pretty nasty. I can't stand the smell or taste of them.

I have no problem with the idea of eggs, so I'll eat them in things as long as I can't taste them (so they're fine in a cake, for example) but I can't eat something like quiche.

I also can't stand fish or any seafood. Just doesn't taste right to me. (Even seaweed tastes pretty bad to me; I think it's the amount of iodine in it.)

I'm not fond of organ meats … but I will eat small amounts of liver.

I also don't like mushrooms. The smell is awful, and reminds me of the smell of a fungus (that was growing in a bedroom at my mom's house) that makes me unable to breathe.

I'll eat any fruit/vegetable (a mushroom is not a vegetable) but I don't really like lava beans, lima beans, or brussels sprouts. (I will eat them if I have to, though.) I'm also not too fond of peas, asparagus, avocado, artichoke, or eggplant, but I do eat them pretty often.

You are probably sensitive to the aroma of certain toxins. All the foods you mentioned have (usually) tolerable, but detectable levels of toxins in them. Eggs are also a very high allergenic food. Many people can eat them IN something, like a cake, (where you may split 3 eggs with 10 people) but not be able to digest an entire egg or even the smell of them on their own.

If I've tried it before and I know I don't like it.

Or if I know it's bad, by smell/mold/whatever.

There are some exotic foods that I probably wouldn't try, things like balut or casu marzu (seriously, this is the worst "food" that I could imagine), but as far as foods that are closer to home, I am not down with okra.

Okra is the most vile food that I have ever encountered personally (coming from someone who has tried [and liked] caviar, escargot, and haggis).

And no, I don't like it fried either.

Veal. I have no problem eating beef and other animals, but I refuse to eat Veal. I have seen those poor baby cows and they way they are brought up if they are intended to be used as veal, and I just can't stomach the thought of it.

I don't think there is anything that I wouldn't eat. Gotta try everything at least once!
