they look like cheap sets. I prefer to pick out single items and make my own set.

I think most more experienced shoppers prefer to do that -- or to indulge in a high end, luxurious set. But sometimes, folks who have never tried something before want a little kit that gives them a chance to experience something without a huge price commitment. And I can totally understand the appeal of that.

Also?

Despite the bad press they often get, the Fifty Shades books sure have opened a lot of doors -- and minds! -- so "Grey" appeal is where it's at for a whole lot, lot, LOT of beginners.

I agree with what you said. For me, the sets are too cheap, but I know I am into BDSM. When I first started, a cheap kit was definitely the way to go. It was an easy way to test the items to gauge my (and my partner's) reaction without going overboard on price. Once we knew we enjoyed it, we invested in some higher quality items.

I would've liked the Women's guide if in the lubricants section it mentioned that glycerin can be irritating for women prone to yeast infections. Also I was surprised not to see any Aslan Leather products featured in the Couples' guide. I liked the Men's guide the best because the product selection felt more rounded and it describes how to use a prostrate massager. Just my two cents

Yeah I agree they all do look cheap, also besides the red one they all look so boring! I don't think "50 shades of grey" thing has to be taken LITERALLY. Even plain black would look better to me.

I'm more excited about the couples section, I don't really think that a tenga flip is really something to suggest for a beginner of toys. I think guys should try cheaper ones to at least see what kind of textures they like before suggesting a 100 dollar toy or whatever that cobra libra is. I also think it would be good to say about the different types of lube instead of just showing a picture of them, I knew what cock rings were long before I knew they made silicone lube!

Not to toot my own horn but we make most of our bdsm geared toys so these are obviously going to seem cheap in comparison. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who will enjoy the sets though, especially beginners, so it's cool that they're included here at Eden
