Do you view blog posts as being an open invitation to dialogue? Or is the comment box only there for a 'thank you' and then moving on? Are blog posts more of an info dump, or communication?

Blog posts can be open for dialogue. In fact, I can't imagine someone who might only say "Thank you" commenting. That's the kind of thing not worth saying in reply to a blog post. I know that when I blog, I like thoughtful comments because, more often than not, I put some thought into it. With that said, blog entries aren't like forum threads.
