I have tried so many times to tell my mother what my profession is and instead it comes out as a what if I were, type of question, although my father on the other hand knows what I do. They have been divorced for over 27 years, and my father seems to be more open minded whereas my mother tries to be but seems much more held back and would look down on me and think that she did something wrong while raising me. So, If you had the chance and just wanted to get it off of your chest knowing the consequences, would you let your family know that you fucked yourself on camera for whoever to see, just to be able to afford the bills, and I'm not talking a car payment and nights out on the town. I'm talking rent, electric, food, diapers, etc. The necessities, and why?

No...not my family anyways. If things were different--maybe, but I doubt it, I would come up with an alternative explanation for my job. I tend to be pretty private about my sex life, though and even though camming is a job--it is still sexually related.

I tend to be like js250 - I keep my sex life private. I know that my family would not want to know anything about my sex life with my man, nor any other aspect of it. (And I feel the same about their sex lives, to be quite honest. Yuck! lol)
I also feel like people (friends/family/etc.) can know me extremely well without knowing the details of my sex life. So, I'd keep that as my personal business.

My mother never talked to me about sex because she was terrified I'd be promiscuous. So yeah, I wouldn't tell her right now. She still has a hard time with the concept of recreational sex.

My mother and I never talked about sex. The closest we got to sex related was a few months before I was married she told me I needed to go to the Dr. and get on birth control because it needed to be in my system.
