What are your requirements for buying a toy?

Contributor: Falsepast Falsepast
Mine are that it has to:
-have at least one 5-star rating.
-be at least 5 inches insertable.
-be at least a 2 on safety scale.
-be between 1 - 2 1/4th in diameter.
-be under $150, i won't waste my time saving up tons of money since there is always the chance that the toy will disappoint me.

Shape, size and material. In that order. I have a few that may not be the best materials but the shape and or size was right so I got it. I do not worry about material so much as I only share with my wife, I know ahead of time if she will like it so then the material must come first.

Other than that, I'll try anything once. Twice if I like it.

For me, it's material, shape and maybe size. I only buy toys made with silicone or stainless steel. All my dildos and vibrators have g-spot heads and ridges allover (like my newest favorite 'Tsunami'). There is a dildo (the Eleven) that I really liked, but I can't have it because the girth is too thick for me.

Material, 2 bees and 4-5 vrooms, circumference 5in or less.

Ohhhh I like this thread!!!

I wish I had requirements because then I wouldn't have some toys that made their way into the toy box for toys I never use any more. And some of those toys are Lelo's, Zini's and Tantus maybe I should be a little more strict in buying.

If I am buying for myself I try to go for;
~Powerful vroom (I look specifically for reviews by people who have some of the same toys as mine and they vroom-classify the same as I do)
~Over one and a half inches in diametre
~Rechargeable universally
~sometimes I will buy just because it looks pretty.

If someone is buying for me??? All bets are off and I'll just grin and shout out thanks!!!

The small end of the Eleven is the same diameter as the Tsunami at its widest. I understand that the silicone will squish a bit but the difference is not that much.

But I only want to use the large end where all the ridges are located! I really wish Njoy will make a scaled-down version.

My first qualification is that it's hypoallergenic and non-porous: Glass, stainless steel, silicone, NobEssence's wood. I've got pansy bits so I have to take care of them.

My second qualification is that the shape is unique, or different from something I already have.

If I'm not sure about the company, reviews have to state that the construction looks like it will last, and that it's really made of what it claims to be made of.

I will also push things way down on the list if they are pink or purple, and since I've amassed a lot of black without realizing it I'm starting to be skeptical of black too.

I don't even consider size, I guess. "No worries, I can make it fit!"

I collect toys but,if I buy one with the intention to use it it should be
four inches in circumference (nothing more or less, very hard to find)
five inches or more insertable
less than 130
material safety 7 or higher

Material: Silicone, glass, metal, plastic.
Size: If insertable, under 2 in diameter and more than 1.25 in diameter.
Shape: If insertable, must have some curve to it.
Not hideous.
I reallyyy prefer not made in China. Sometimes that's hard to avoid.

Thank you for the clarification, Antipova! I perceived that the ridges are on the large end, all thanks to the image on the Eleven's product page; the closed angle shot made the smaller bulb looked much larger. It's been so deeply ingrained in my head, I can't change it even after reading your review months ago.

- Has several 4star and 5star ratings
- at least 4 vrooms
- at most 3 buzz
- at least an 8 on the safety scale
- no more than 2" in diameter
- do I think it will work

Hmmm, I like something between 4-5" in circumference; plastic, glass, or silicone (haven't tried metal); and about 4 vrooms. Shape's not a huge factor right now, I like experimenting with shapes and texture. Also, I'm not a huge fan of realistic toys at this point in my life.
