Those who place ads in classifieds: get any nibbles on what you're selling?”

Contributor: LavenderSkies LavenderSkies
I've been around Edens classifieds section and there are some great deals! However to me, things look a little bit slow, like the fish aren't biting! Have you ever placed an ad in the classifieds and had luck with selling an item? Please let me know! Private poll below.

I don't really check the Eden classifieds and don't think I will be buying or placing any ads

I've sold 10 toys since I started using the Classifieds. I still have ads up though, but they're more expensive items, so it's taking awhile for anyone to be interested in buying them from me.

I may need to list more toys soon; I'm not yet good at guessing if I'll like a toy or not before I buy it. Good thing I only go for materials that can be sterilized!

I have not because I've really not had a toy to get rid of that was not used. I have a couple, but most have been used.

I would CONSIDER buying something like SOME lingerie, but I doubt I'd buy a used toy. It would really depend and I'd have to want it desperately and honestly, no I probably wouldn't want it that bad. Not used.

I posted one item and didn't get any bites even though my asking price was less than half the retail price. Maybe I'll try to repost it one day.

I've actually been wondering about this. I have box of mostly unused stuff we've acquired that needs to go. Rather than trash it, I'm going to put it on EF classifieds.

Since joining EF I've seen mention of buying used toys and I thought "EWWWWWWW!!! I wouldn't do that!"

Well, I checked out the classified ads for the first time earlier this month and saw a listing for some expensive silicone toys that have been on my wishlist for a while but not top priority items. I contacted the seller and they accepted my offer for a couple of items.

I finally listened to the logical part of my brain which knows that the silicone can be sterilized. The seller sterilized them before shipping, I sterilized them upon arrival and I've found that I'm okay with that even though I wasn't sure I would be.

Definately not buying a used toy - I don't know how you would sterilize.

How did you sterilize it?

I've never posted a sex toy up on there, been considering it though. There are other things I would consider posting too, but I've just been too busy.

I think that I've sold everything that I've posted up there, but I list them VERY cheap because I just want to get rid of things I don't have room for that other people will like more. Like my Splash? I accepted it for a review, but I am NEVER going to be able to use something that big! (my eyes were bigger than my vagina) So I'd rather sell it for $25, have someone else get a neat toy they want for cheap, and have it be used by someone who likes toys that giant! Some people ask way too much for things on the Classifieds, I think.

It probably just depends on what you're selling at what time.

****Disclaimer: Lysol IC recommended use is for HARD non porous surfaces. I chose to use this on a soft non porous (silicone) item at my own risk****

The toys were immersed in boiling water for 15 minutes then soaked in a solution of hot water and Lysol IC for an hour or so (I put them in the solution then forgot about them while I did some chores around the house). I ran hot water over them for a couple of minutes to be sure all traces of the Lysol IC had been removed then let them air dry.

I've sold a couple of items for about 1/3 their list value. It isn't the best, but it is better than having toys sitting around that I will never use.

I have a hard time letting go of my toys because I hold out hope that I'll be able to make them work for me later on down the road.

I've posted a couple ads on there and haven't had any interest so far. I'm thinking of posting an ad for my hiking boots, they just don't fit me properly.
