Videos and Pictures in Reviews

Contributor: eri86 eri86
I realize that writing reviews, taking product pictures, and making videos to share and post is volunteering and giving of our own time so that others can potentially benefit from our experiences when searching for toys.

And I also realize, that many of us aren't photographers or videographers, and have to work with what we have available to us.

But there are times, and I hate to sound cruel or nit-picky, that it seems as though people don't really try when it comes to their pictures and videos.

I'm a little more forgiving of lower video quality. Computer cams aren't always the best, and not everyone is really comfortable on camera.

But how hard is it to take a picture that is at least in focus if nothing else?

I just have my camera on my smart phone, but I still try to set a nice image with a nice, but non distracting background, good lighting, and everything in focus.

This part is the part that takes me a long time when doing pictures. I use my smart phone to take them. I also will crop them and have to have some kind of frame around them which takes me forever to find since I am so picky. Then everything has to be cropped right in that said frame. Sometimes with the new way to add pics on here it is a pain to get them right and not all over or spaced out. I will add one or two pics to a section but if I have more I rather put them in a frame.

As for the video my videos I use with a HD webcam. They come out clear as day.

I just use my iSight camera on my macbook for photos. I don't have time to be whipping out my Canon 5D mII every time I want to have a photo shoot of my dildos

I agree. I have canon rebel and my iPhone. Depending on if I feel like dragging my canon out or not, when I do add pictures to my reviews, I will just take them on my iPhone. I will make sure they are focused properly with a non distracting background, my lighting isn't always well since I take them in my walk in closet. I have two kids who like to get into everything so we keep all our toys in a night stand in our closet and I use the top of that to take my pictures on. I will take several pictures from several different angles and then crop them before adding them.
