Can we replace the plastic shipping bags with paper bags?

I've gotten a few toys that have come in bags that are clearly meant to be disposed of. I don't mind, not every toy has to come in Pipedream's Icicles-style (i.e. really nice) packaging, it just distresses me since I know those bags are destined for the landfill.

Is paper packaging be a viable alternative? I could recycle that along with the shipping box.

How would the pickers know they were selecting the correct toy out of the bin if they can't see it at a glance?

The last vibe I received was in a clear, poly bag. I use it to keep the vibe covered instead of throwing it away.

And I believe they are recyclable.

I would be willing to bet that the products come to EF in the bag. In that case you would need to talk to the manufacturer.

Where I live, for a bag or container to be recycled it has to be stamped with a number, which the shipping bags don't have. I'm not sure if the bags are EF's doing or the manufacturer's, but they are barcoded (you can see the barcode in the last picture of my review: link ) so switching to paper shouldn't cause sorting problems.

It would probably be a complicated switch, possibly even a costly one, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to get the idea out there.
