Not really, I still see plenty of people who come on simply to vote, post and comment on tons of things within minutes, and then I don't see anything else from them.

Some extreme people have been removed because they make it so obvious to everyone, but IMHO you aren't contributing to the community if all you are doing is ONLY things that will gain you points, like posting a comment on 10 different products and rating them all within 10 minutes. I see that one constantly.

And don't forget the infamout, "Following" comment on wall posts.

Some people aren't interested in being part of the community and I don't think that they should be punished for NOT wanting to interact with the rest of us.

As for the FOLLOWING comments... I'd really just like the option to remove things from my wall. I had one comment that was basically implying that they were gracious enough to follow me. What was I supposed to do? Throw a party? Ummmm, no. I have a lot of people that I followed when I first started, or when I felt like I should follow people back because they followed me. Now? If you don't interact with me on the forum or on my wall or something, I won't follow you back. I'll show interest in you if you show it in me. Likewise, if I come across a contributor that I'm interested in interacting with, I'll follow them, but I will interact with them either on site or off site (Like Top to Bottom NYC, I follow on Twitter and other places) and I interact more with him there than I do here on EF, but I'm still interested in what he does on site, so I follow him.

I wasn't kidding. Perhaps you misinterpreted and assumed I meant all the text in all the posts of an active event. *That* would be nuts. I was just talking about on the thread list in the forum an active event's title would strobe.

Not gonna lie, I get tired of the "following" comments I get on my wall. I already know you're following. I get a notification. At that point, you're just looking for points IMO unless you actually are saying something to me and happen to mention that you are following me because of whatever you said, or something. Like the "Hey, I read ____ post or ____ review, and I love it! I'm following now because I like your style" etc.

I don't follow anyone back, I only follow my students, real life friends, or people that I have had a LOT of interaction with on the forums, or whom I religiously stalk their reviews. It sounds hateful.. but meh.

OH, okay, here's something I don't like about the new review page.

For example, on this page there's a wonderful descriptive review and I've got all kinds of questions.

Sadly, though, I don't have any indication who wrote it. No name. No picture. No link. It could be any of the reviews on that page.

For this product, it's not a big deal to read all the reviews, but on a product page with 10? 20? reviews? No.

No no no.

I agree with editing the wall. I use my wall to see what's happening on the forums and who has new reviews, if I'm in a review reading mood.

I have to admit, seeing an entire page and a half taken up on my wall with someone else's "in my hands now" and "just interested" bothers me a tiny bit. First of all I'm not interested (I'm such a bitch sometimes) secondly, it uses up precious space on my wall, when I want to see what discussions are hot.

I infrequently vote on lures for just this reason.

I also would like to see who wrote the descriptive reviews. I am interested. We used to be able to see, and now the information, for these often amazing reviews is gone.

Maybe instead of just being able to remove posts, ALSO having options like:

Only show reviews.
Show reviews and forum posts.
Hide lures only.
Hide votes.

You get the drift. I like how FB lets me hide certain people, or simply hide the post.

You can count on me to object to flashing or moving on a web page no matter what. It distracts me to see movement when I'm trying to read what's on a page. Maybe those post titles could just be in a different color.

I sooo want this glitch fixed. I know that I have easily half a dozen reviews or so that only show up on my personal review list, which is quite a bit to expect anybody to try and weed through. I've done descriptive reviews that don't show my name or picture to indicate that I did it, and there are some that don't show up anywhere on the review page at all. I think it would be really great if things were coded or whatever so that no matter what category the review is, it shows up in the review list. Instead of having it be either a descriptive review or a regular review, have them all be as regular reviews with the option to highlight them as a descriptive review, like how we can do the review spotlights on the community news page.

This is completely vindictive, but wouldn't it be funny if you got points taken away for making repetitive points? LOL.

That or if there were a system feature that didn't reward points to repetitive points. I don't think that the points feature is a bad thing, but there might be a way to keep them without awarding points to people who are just trying to point farm. Lol, I realize my suggestion might very well be waaaay too intricate.

Maybe there is an option for this somewhere that I'm missing, so forgive me if I just haven't found it yet, but I have a really hard time following different topics. Unless I remember to subscribe to it as an RSS feed, I rarely remember to come back and see if someone has responded to what I wrote, and I'm sure I miss out on good discussions this way. I don't want to get emails every time someone responds, because then my mailbox would be overflowing. If there were a page I could go to on the Edenfastasys website where it would tell me how many posts had been made on topics I have commented on, or even tell me if someone replied to a post I made, that would be super helpful. Right now, I can see where I commented, but I have to go back to the thread to check to see if anything new has been said on the matter.

Do let me know if I'm failing to see a very helpful link that would tell me all of this. I just want a place that reminds me to check back on updated topics I've posted on, without me having to remember to "save" the thread or flood my inbox.

Favorite the thread (orange heart) and then you'll be able to find it more easily. When you're done following the thread, remove the heart.

Right, I did get that bit, but I don't use the feature because I still have to remember to do it. If I'm going to remember to scroll up and heart the thread, I might as well add the RSS feed to my reader to remind me of updates. I guess I'm really looking for an automatic way to remind me to check back on places I've commented, without having to hunt for updates myself. I guess maybe the RSS feed is the best option for this at the moment, but I always remember to subscribe to it AFTER I've closed the window, which doesn't help much.

Move the strap-on/pegging forum out of BDSM. Many couples don't do it as BDSM, and having it there reinforces the idea that it is.

Hi! I have two suggestions for your consideration

The first is about threads that are no longer relevant. The consensus seems to be that everyone wants them deleted. What if there was an archive tab instead? Anything more than 1 month old would automatically be sent to the archive tab so that only the posts for the last 30 days or 60 days, remain on the first tab.

The second suggestion is to thread comments. You can reply to an individual in a post and a thread will start so the conversation stays relevant and easier to navigate. This would make the forum posts look neater and will be easier to communicate points or suggestions effectively.

Thanks!

If it were 1 month from the LAST UPDATE, then yes, but a month from when the thread started? not so much. There are lots of threads that are still going that are 10-12 months old. Obviously not irrelevant.

I would, however, like to see that for comparison threads on toys. Usually after a week or two the decision has been made and voting/commenting is no longer relevant.

The second suggestion is to thread comments. You can reply to a comment IN the thread and the conversation can stay relevant without creating more threads. I like the way threads are organized as far as replying to individual replies. I don't want to see more threads based on replies to a certain thread. It's also easy to take things out of context by doing this. I like being able to read the whole thread and seeing where the conversation started and what people are commenting to. This helps to also clarify something that's been taken out of context.

I would like to be able to choose what part of a post we're replying to.

Sometimes I don't want to quote DWTim's post, but I just want to reply to the part where he's talking about nuts and bolts.

I totally agree with this, and I think it came up on page 2 or 3 of this discussion too, when we were specifically talking about pictures. I have noticed that pictures are not dropped from replies, which is great! But still being able to choose the text would also be good.
