Is it wrong of me to unfollow members who have not added anything to the community for months at a time?

Is there a way to tell if the follower is following you?

I don't see the problem. I usually don't follow back people who don't do anything interesting. I don't really clean up my list often though.

Nothing since last year? No. I don't think there would be anything wrong with unfollowing then. I usually just follow whoever follows me, but if I had a good reason, I would unfollow. If they haven't posted anything, they surely wouldn't mind if you unfollowed and if you were worried about them being offended, just send em' a message saying you'd be happy to follow back when and if they become active again.

No, I just recently cleaned mine out. I like to have a close number of followers/people I'm following.

There's nothing wrong with unfollowing someone. Especially if they have such a large portion of time of inactivity.

It's good to clean the list once in a while

Following is a kind of useless feature here anyway, and it's not like someone would notice you stopped following them

I don't really see the point of following people, all the information posted to my wall as a result of it is completely useless. If following just meant I got an alert when someone submitted a new review, then it would be a worthwhile feature.

It's your list! Do with it what you want! Most people don't pay attention to who follows and un-follows them, I'm sure.

I get rid of lots of people when I think about it.

I'd like to make my list only have five to ten people on it, but I still do not really grasp how followers and such are important or why they are so important. Makes me scratch my head it does.

Going to sort of my list now! Thanks for the reminder!

It's your feed, do what you want. As long as it's not point farming I don't see how they can fault you.

Of course not. This isn't a social networking site, it's a sex toy store. Keep that in mind.

There's nothing wrong, but I rarely unfollow anyone.

I clean up my list from time to time. I don't see an issue with it.

Some pruning is always a good thing, especially if they haven't added things or been on the site in a long time. (I do it on Facebook as well!)

Nothing wrong with that. I don't drop people but I don't see the point in just keeping them around for nothing.

I say to each their own. I just don't remove once I follow.

I clean up my list every so often. I use the "Follow" feature as a bookmark of sorts, so I can keep tabs on the users who write reviews for the types of products I am interested in.

If you follow people to see updates and such, it's perfectly natural to unfollow them if you aren't getting updates. Nothing wrong with it.

I'm too lazy to actually unfollow anyone.

It is fine to unfollow. If they are not contributing, they are most likely busy with other things so may not even notice.

I don't personally go through and clear out my follow list (too much effort), but I see nothing wrong with doing so if you want to.

I don't see a problem with it and I don't really care if people wish to delete me from their lists.
I've needed some time off for personal reasons and decided to come back today to get back involved like I use to be.
But WOW - the Eden I use to know seems to have disappeared and I don't have much inpiration to stick around any more.

I've never deleted anyone, unless they did something I felt was underhanded to me in some manner.

No reason to feel like you did anything wrong.. It's not like you insulted them or something.
