Anal sex fan and hemorroids. The truth from YOU...the experts.

Whoever reads our posts know we have a close group of friends...like EF, only in real life go to dinner on Fridays and discuss EVERYTHING.

On couple are big time into anal play, just had their "routine" colonoscopies. She had a bit of bleeding earlier in the year and was thinking it was from "a bit of rougher toy play"....but it turns out she has a couple polys and a couple "internal hemorrhoids". The doctor nipped the polyps but left the hemorrhoids (too small to worry about, right now), to watch.

She has been trying to "research" the issue about anal sex and hemorrhoids, and finds conflicting results. Some say "avoid anal play no matter what", other "experts" say the increased blood flow from "play" can HELP with the problem!!!

I doubt the CDC has done any formal studies or anyone has published any formal research on the subject....SO....anyon e have any GOOD experience or advice.

Oh...no, she did NOT tell her doctor she does anal play, and since she is a nurse and works for this same medical group, it would be MORE then awkward she says.

THANKS for any advice.

Well i dont see how it matters if its awkward ask the doctor. He isnt allowed to say anything outside the office about. Also if that really isnt an option you could try webmd or something like that.

she should talk to her doctor especially about something like that, doctors are legally not allowed to talk about their patients outside of the office. I personally don't care how awkward a convo is, if it's a health issue, the doctor is going to hear about it and he/she will get to the bottom of it

Hopefully P'gell might step in; she knows a lot about pretty much everything. I've never heard anal play causing hemorrhoids (again, this is just me, I might be totally wrong) but it could be something else.
