Do any friends or aquaintences who know you enjoy anal play think you are bonkers because of that?

I was using one of the "office pod cubicles" that a number of our "secretary/transcripti onists" use at work. That person was out for the week and I needed a certain program that they have on their computers that I don't have on mine.

Anyway, I overhear two woman in the next little cubicle talking. I don't really know either one well, and would NOT have gotten into their conversation anyway (this place has several THOUSAND employee). These woman are talking about boyfriends, dating and of course, it ends up coming around to sex.

The one woman talks about how gentle her "new" lover was and how, even though they were just getting intimate for the first time, she trusted him enough to let him take her anally..."and he was amazing". The other girl just exploded. "HOW ON EARTH COULD YOU LET HIM DO THAT? THAT IS SO NASTY. HE WILL NEVER LOOK AT YOU THE SAME EVER AGAIN. THAT SOUNDS SO PAINFUL. WHO EVER TOLD YOU THAT WAS A NORMAL THING TO OD? WERE YOU ABUSED AS A CHILD? DO YOU NEED COUNSELING? DID YOU PICK THAT UP IN SOME PRISION SOMEWHERE???

The one poor girl had simply been a little too descriptive of what she described as a "wonderful night of hot lovemaking", and this other woman went off on her for the next twenty minutes...without taking a breath, concerning the fact she was "crazy enough to let any guy go into that hole that is "exit only".

I was already finishing my work, but HAD to stay put hoping to hear the girl who had been "attacked" defend her right to enjoy sex any way she pleased, but alas, I don't even know if she said anything more, or gave the other girl the finger or what...since after her twenty minute or so diatribe, all was literally silent for about two minutes, then I heard them walk away!!! Maybe someone walking by or from another cubicle heard them and shushed them up. I don't know.

However, what I DO know is that I have never quite heard anything like it.

SO...do you have any friend or acquaintance that found out you enjoy anal sex in your love life and then gave you major grief about it??? Is it even anyone else's business to harass you, so long as you and your lover enjoy it???

I must exist in a quirky crowd, since of the people who DO know what me and my husband do (it is NOT T.M.I. in our little group of friends), most of them enjoy it too...or "put up with it for their husbands" at worst!

Have YOU ever had such an experience???

Wow! That's just wacky. At work? *boggles at peoples' craziness*

I've never had anyone go off on me personally as I don't share what I do in bed with anyone but close friends and... well... Eden. But I've seen some seriously offensive rants online, both live (in games) and in forums.

The biggest thing that annoys me is that people make it about "Gay, gay, gay." I keep wanting to say "Ya know, a lot of straight people enjoy anal sex, too," but I find getting into it with those people a waste of time. They aren't going to suddenly get a clue just because I pointed that out.

I have to admit, though, I did think anal sex sounded kinda bonkers for a long time. Not sick-and-wrong bonkers, just "Ow and eww and I don't get it." But if I don't understand something I ask questions, instead of just dismissing it. Once I got more information, I got more interested, and eventually joined the crazy anal-freak crowd.

I have friends who probably would think I was out of my mind if they knew it was something I enjoyed.

I don't care.

I have a few friends that think I'm weird for liking anal, but I'm pretty sure they'd chew their own arm off before speaking to me that way. It's universally acknowledged in my group of friends that you don't mess with the crazy one.

I like how anal sex feels, both in the physical sense but in my mood and outlook too. I admit though that I also enjoy it as something that is considered so far out in left field for lots of people.

Maybe it comes from the fact I do really enjoy it and even do it more than the traditional way that I feel sort of looked down on for it, like even if I'm with a group of friends or people I work with, and its not like we most times will talk openly about our sexual desires, so its not like they all know I like anal, but there are often just certain views and personalities some people have and it comes out in litte ways in their conversations where, yeah I can tell this person would probably judge me because of which orifice I prefer to be penetrated. To me that is far more strange and unhealthy than any sex act I enjoy, that kind of persecuation of others over what is really just their own hang ups and anxiety projected onto others. As much as I love anal I don't go around insisting others should too just because I do. I mean I have friends who do like anal and I have friends who are very sexual but anal doesn't get them off, and that's that. I've had talks with some of them where we compare notes, sure. But its never a this side vs that side thing where one has to be right or wrong. As where some of the people, girls especially, who are against girls having anal sometimes have this strident, violent and judgmental stance they take and is clear they want everyone else to hate it as much as they do. Almost like a recruitment for what they consider conservative ideals. Like the difference in hearing Tristan Taormino talk about anal sex empowerment for women vs the type of hateful propaganda you'd hear on Fox news if they were talking about it.
