Hard or Soft toys for anal play.

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
My favorite toys for anal or vaginal play are still my Jellies, even though most folks here hate jelly toys from the polls I have seen (I am meticulous at cleaning...never had an issue). I enjoy some of the glass and metal toys I have for anal too. Even a wood one,but the fact is, my jellies bend and move and are squeezable....just better sensation, MOST of the time. PLUS, Jellies move around "corners" without "banging". My glass or metal toys sure don't! Those have the SMOOTH factor going. Different sensation completely.

What is YOUR favorite "toy form factor" for anal? Hard or soft toys? Why?

My new fav of the moment is glass.

I'm really fond of jellys for anal use. But that's mostly because I like my fake cocks to feel like... Well, cocks.
The jellys can hit my tender spots and all I feel is pressure. But if I use a hard toy and I hit the wrong spot it really is jarring and sometimes painful.
Cleaning be damned. Honestly to clean my jelly toys I just throw them in their own dishwasher cycle then towel off and remove any lint with some masking tape.

Don't have jellies - there's too many risks with them and silicone is so affordable.

I have both and I like both, but use them for different play. Hard toys are more "slow and steady precision stimulation", while I can really go to town with my soft silicone toys.

Many times I'll wind up with a silicone toy even if I've started with a hard one, just so things can be a bit faster/wilder/rougher/ whatever.

I prefer hard, but not glass and anything with no give at all.

I still only have one anal toy, but I LOVE it. It's a small glass plug. I really like it, and I'm really fond of glass in general.

*Finally* I can say that each has their merits. For a long time I couldn't insert soft toys because they were too squishy. I just tried the Tantus Buck, though, and it has a hefty-enough girth that it was easy to insert despite being soft.

So now I can say---metal and glass are still the best for easy insertion, especially at slim diameters. I would always recommend a hard toy for a beginner.

But soft silicone is so plush! The filling feeling is really great, and you're right that they don't bang around corners if you get careless (though I've never been careless with metal or glass... I feel like silicone opens me up more gently, though.

I guess the anal ones are silicone or jelly I guess.
