There is a lot of shame we hold around our butts and working through that adds to the sensual pleasure of anal play as we are more able to relax into it without reservations. You didn’t do anything wrong or purposely and your partner was mature about it. People who truly enjoy anal and get enough experience in that department will likely encounter farts, odors, blood and fecal matter at some point.
