After trying Wet Platinum, I'm eager to try another lube that'll do a good job of staying smooth and slippery for a long time. From your experience(s), which of these lubes are your favorite? If your favorite isn't one of these, then what is it?

I vote Maximus for anal, but you say you're looking for a silicone lube. Maximus is water based, not silicone. I like Eros and Gun Oil but they're both on the thin side which isn't always optimal for anal use.

For A Silicone lube you should try Better Sex Essentials. Great stuff, I just wish it was thicker.

Oh, you're right. Since it was in the anal lube section, I just assumed it was silicone based like most of the others, my mistake. I've heard some people don't like Maximus though due to a burning sensation. Have you never had that problem?

That's because its got parabens in it... I've never had a problem with it but have heard of a few that have.

Agreed.

I love that stuff.

Though no silicone lube is thick, that I've noticed.

Also, system jo silicone is quite nice - and there is an orange scented one!

Hmm, I've never head of parabens causing sensitivity issues—generally the risk of parabens has to do with being weakly estrogenic. In other words, these preservatives have the ability to mimic estrogen in the body.

There's something in certain lubes that does burn on some people, including myself. I have noticed a strong correlation between parabens and the burn, and no correlation between some other chemicals (including glycerin and several polymers).

I recommend Maximus all the way. I've used Eros Bodyglide, and it's way too oily, runny, and thin. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised by Maximus. It's quite a surprise that it's a water-based lube considering how slick and long lasting it is.

I voted other because I really like Wet Platinum. For us that has been the best silicone wise.

I used KY Jelly and Astroglide. Currently my anal sex guy prefers Vaseline. Even though it's harder to wash off it works really good if your man has a large penis.

Wait, what? Is it bad for you if you produce too much estrogen or not enough? I have PCOS so this is a major concern.

I actually really like Eros, but you're definitely right, it is thin & oily. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. Perhaps I should try something new, lol.

I started with Wet. After trying others I discovered Wet is junk. For a long time I was using I.D. Glide but I hate the "slip/stick/slip" action from still being too thin. I have just placed an order for Maximus, I'll post how it fair for me. I tried vaseline a long time ago and found it's just far too thick but maybe I'll give it a try again since my toy is very big.

I don't use silicone lube. I'm scared that its going to make too much of a mess, but if i had to choose i'd pick Maximus only because that seems the most popular.

I have used wet and ID glide for ever, and it was just recently that I got the advice from this site to try Maximus and now I will never look back. This stuff rocks. Nice and thick, lasts for ever, great for anal toying, and easy clean up.

WET platinum is nice starter lube for those don't know better about ingredients. (you live and learn once you experiment more and more) but Maximus is a great lube to try.
