Multiple Orgasms in Men

Contributor: Cream in the Cupcake Cream in the Cupcake
How common is it that men have multiple orgasms? (Ladys can vote for their man.)

and explain how it happens, if ever.

I always thought it was "one and done" until least week when I gave my man two in a row. I was so proud of myself but he didn't really seem fazed even tho he said it was good but he couldnt remember if he ever did that before. How it happened was during sex, he finished first and I didnt think I could. When I decided to play with myself, he joined in and we ended up having sex again. He was hard even though he just came and then I rode him hard until he came again. I thought it only happened with women. I was proud.

My husband need 20-30 minutes to get hard again most days. A couple times a year though he has surprised me and had multiple ejaculations within a few minutes of each other. He has had a non-ejaculatory orgasm followed by an orgasm with ejaculation a few minutes later, does that count?

Sometimes it just depends on how horny he is or what we are doing. Sometimes the blow job is just that good or we are trying out something brand new that he really thought was hot.

I my masturbation session are usually several non-ejaculatory orgasm followed by an ejaculatory orgasm. The reason this is possible is that orgasm and ejaculation are two different things it ejaculation not orgasm that triggers the refractory period (although some man can have multiple orgasm with ejaculation as well). During intercourse ejaculation is harder to control so it not as common there for me as with masturbation but ya male multiple orgasm are possible and they are genuine.

My boyfriend can go for more than one every time. He's always ready for more the second he's done, but it usually depends on whether I am.

Unfortunately, this is one of the great remaining half-truths/lies out in the mainstream literature.

As a multi-orgasmic man--by which I mean reaching orgasm, remaining turgid, and orgasming again (and again, up to 3-5)--it is upsetting to see the mainstream literature giving the impression that men are a one-trick pony, so to speak. I say this, yet I do experience hypersensitivity for the first minute or two after orgasm. I am told that I'm "twitchy."

2 are reasonably easy within a short amount (2-10 minutes, depending on stimulation) of time. 3 within, say, a half-hour period ... I think that'd cause my legs to cramp so hard that the muscles and tendons would tear. For me, cramping is the limiting factor until number 5. At that point, I'm rubbed raw, sore, and ejaculating dust.

If it happens for us, he'll have a smaller orgasm first and not ejaculate by squeezing his prostate and all the muscles around there. After that we can keep going and he'll have an orgasm with ejaculation.

My hubby does have multiples from time to time. (but only when I am able to go for that long) He has had both; multiple orgasms without ejaculation, as well as multiple orgasms with ejaculation. I was so thrilled when we first started having sex that he could go so much longer than anyone I had ever been with, but I was made even happier by the fact that not only was he multi orgasmic, but also had a short "recovery time" but he doesn't orgasm every time we do it either.

lol, We have been discussing this for months!!! My man used to go sometimes 3 or 4 times in a day, but spaced out. Now after one, he's completely done. He needs an ample recovery time before he goes again. He swears it's not possible to go twice in a row hehe

My man does this sometimes also. (In fact he did last night.) He just stayed hard and then started going again. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen from time to time. It seems to depend on how turned on he is, and what exactly we're doing. (Like someone else said upthread.)

I typically need about 15-20 minutes from the time I orgasm to the time that I can get fully engorged and ready to go again. I think the most times I have orgasmed in one "session" of non-stop lovemaking was 4, they were spaced about a hour apart.

It's been a long time since I've had sex & the guy hasn't had at least two in a row. Aside from super quick quickies in a hurry.

I think it depends on the man. Several of the men I've been with were able to cum and keep going and cum again. Other can only cum once and need to wait 20-45 minutes.

My lover says the most he's done in one session is 5, while masturbating. I've gotten him to have 4 in a row, 3 non-ejaculatory, and one ejaculatory. That and the man has next to no recovery time, so that 4 was mostly because we had somewhere to be, not because we were done.

I just got into the anal scene and that is what ended up causing me to have my first double orgasm, 3 days ago. I voted other because my body must only now be acclimating to prostate stimulation and it is too early to tell where this will be leading, but here's to good tidings.

Men don't have 'multiple orgasms', it's not physically possible. The rest time between them, however, can vary. The term 'multiple orgasms' refers to when a woman has an orgasm that rolls over into another one without an actual rest period.

For men, it is possible to orgasm prior to ejaculation or ejaculate prior to orgasm, which some mistake as an orgasm. It is wise to note that ejaculation =/= orgasm.

Wrong, men can and do have multiple orgasms and contrary to what you says their is no singular definitions of "orgasm" (one review article found if memory serves me currently, 33 different definitions in the literature) let alone "multiple orgasms", different sources define the concept differently. Defining these terms in it of themselves is a huge can of worms, however the concept is not limited to one orgasms rolling over directly into the other as you describe, using that definition you just invalided a whole lot of research into female multiple orgasms.

What is consistent across definitions is that the refractory period that typically occurs after ejaculation in males stops men from having multiple orgasms (whatever the definition used is). However it is entirely possible to have orgasms with out ejaculation hence it is physically possible for men to have multiple orgasms, and multiple orgasms with ejaculation has also been documented in the lab.

I'm an multi-orgasmic male, I am not at confused about what going on in my body I find it extremely arrogant for a person, not even using the correct terms no less, to tell someone else what is going on in their body. Especially, when the academic literature on the topic says the opposite. (Note: I have found lay literature uses some shorts of bizarre logic to deny the genuineness of male multiple orgasms, however I have not seen any academic text try and pull the "its physical impossible you must be confused" card as of yet). An it especially ironic when the you then go on to note the mechanism by which it is possible for most men.

It is possible for a man to orgasm several times prior to ejaculation with or without a refractory period, which equates to multiple orgasms.
