While some women can not climax during intercourse, many can during masturbation. Em and Lo say that it may take a bit of practice, but many women can climax within minutes when they learn how to use their own hands. Em and Lo list some inspirational ideas for masturbation (that would even work for males too!)

-Understand your anatomy and how to works to provide the most possible pleasure.
-Massage yourself with a light, all-over body massage to help get yourself in the mood. You can use massage oil or a little vibrator.
-Do your kegels regularly. Kegel muscles can strength your pelvic floor muscles and help draw blood into the area.
-Use sex toys. Many women happily use sex toys and find that orgasm is much easier once a sex toy is brought into the picture.
-Mutual masturbation. While masturbating on your own can be fun, you can masturbate with a partner can add a whole new dimension.

You're right, there are some people who get toys just for partner sex and never masturbate...

I'M not one of those people, but there are some.

I voted for both "yes" and "no" to foreplay. Sometimes I work myself up, sometimes I jump right on in.

For me it's always best after...yoga. Ok, and a little wine too but it's been a while since that since I'm still the baby's favorite restaurant. Anyhow, if I loosen up my pelvic area by doing big circles with my hips, wowee! The Kegels are a good exercise too. My midwife gave me a huge orange sticker that says KEGEL on it, she had several on her phone. Probably couldn't get away with that at the law firm where I work, lol.

I don't work myself up, I just lay down and go to town with my toys.

I will watch porn from time to time but I hardly consider that foreplay.

I did sort of massage myself once, the first time I explored my vagina with my fingers and found a pleasure button. But once I knew this amazing body part I went straight for it, thereafter.

Great tips! I usually do my own foreplay when I am masturbating. There's days where I am a little stressed out from works and I say "Tonight I need to masturbate, even if I'm not fully in the mood". Those are the nights when my own foreplay, or my fiance's is needed before hand.

Sometimes I am just really aroused already, and I don't even need it.

I masturbate when I am allowed. I do not finding it anywhere near as pleasurable as sex. The times I enjoy it the most is when I can finish and cum. Then it is the most intense. I do enjoy masturbating with being watched. Being watched in any situation is a big turn on.
