Depends on how unruly it is. Trimmed is always appreciated. I know a guy who shaves completely and my partner and I find that a little odd, especially when we both imagine how painful the stubble would be...

As a student, there have been times when buying groceries meant being unable to afford getting a wax, and those are the times when I've resorted to shaving...and if I got lazy and had skipped a day, there would be stubble. Having stubble was uncomfortable for myself when I was still getting used to it, and I imagine it was often annoying for my partner as well. But kudos for keeping it up! I can say that that takes some real discipline and determination.

I, personally have chosen to remove a good deal of the hair from my pubic region. My Man didn't request it, I simply wanted to see what it felt like, and have kept up with it for several years. Before that I did have a 70s Style Bush Fro that didn't bother My Man at all.
He's older (early 50s) and I don't know if anything would get him to shave his pubes or remove hair. I really don't care. I'm used to him the way he is. Most of the dating I did took place when most men never removed hair. To me, hairless balls look a little bit like newborn baby birds. Not that that's a bad thing. But, I love My Man the way he is.
I've teased him. We've been in the tub and I'm shaving (which he hates if I do it while he's in the tub with me "Your little hairies get all over the tub!") and I've teased him with the razor with a kind "Shave your balls, Sir?" Once he jumped out of the tub and pretended to run away. "Get away from me with that razor, woman!"
I think, if he was able to grow one, he'd have a full neck beard. He isn't a real hairy guy, and he can only grow a goatee, which is fine with me. His pubes look fine to me. It really makes no difference. They are his junk it's up to him to decide what to do with them.
