is it just me or is it the more attractive a guy thinks he is the more of a jerk they truly are...? so who do you choose the hunk or the average one?

I consider myself perfectly average so I really don't expect to be with someone who looks like a model or anything. My beauty standards are pretty unique compared to those of others I know though.

Conventionally gorgeous people tend to have pretty conventional ideas of beauty, sex, etc.
I'm much more attracted to a kind of beauty that suggests a worldview that's a little more compatible with mine (queer, academic, etc). Sometimes the Barbie dolls end up being my kinda girls, but I think I've just learned not to expect as much.

From what I have experienced, those who are so drop dead gorgeous know it and are up themselves. They rely on their looks to get them what they want and often don't have much personality.
That's not to say all are like that, just most that I have met.
For me to be attracted to someone, they MUST have a great personality rather than looks!

Once upon a time, I met the most beautiful boy in the world. Everyone said so. He was so gorgeous. BUT he was dumb as a post, and emotionally challenged besides. Looks are not everything.
