We had a great discussion at our "Friday Dinner With Close Friends", about this one. With actual unemployment sitting at near 25% (not the reported stuff, but everyone who has quit looking or is NOT looking), and the economy SO bad, there has to be daily stress on a LOT of people, SO....we could not imagine that this kind of daily "back of the mind" stress could NOT effective peoples romance and love life (as well as causing more fights, since it money is STILL reported to be the number 1 cause of couples fighting).

Has the bad economy negatively affected YOUR sex drive or love life? Might be interesting to see if there is a difference between answers between men and woman on this too.

For about 11 months Erik was only working at odd jobs and FINALLY just recently started a new job ! I was working as a nurse the entire time and he just picked up the slack with the house work (I barely lifted a finger!) and made sure he pulled his weight. It was sexy to have him working hard on the home front and as a "handyman" and it actually made us closer. We would find coupons or specials before we went out on "dinner dates" and worked together to make the best of it so we actually had an increase in our sex drive and love life. There was stress but partners are supposed to be supportive of each other during stressful times so for us at least our love life did not suffer.

yes, because my wife had to go back to work. She is too tired at night, even though her job is not that tough. But yes, it has suffered.
