I had never had an orgasm (except during dreams) until this year. It took me really dedicating myself to learning how to masturbate. I am 24 years old.

That is perfectly normal in my experience. I couldn't orgasm in my teens or twenties really. I may have had 1 or 2 small ones, but not much to speak of. My thirties, however, have been rife with amazing orgasms... one after the other.

No, it won't be like this forever!
I never used to have orgasms during partner sex, mostly because I a) didn't know what I wanted and b) didn't know how to ask for it. My advice is to spend some quality time with yourself and figure out what gets you off (and what doesn't). Then the next time you're having sex with someone, find some way of communicating to them what you want: you can tell verbally, or re-position their hands, or show them yourself, etc. You could also try using toys: I generally need a LOT of clitoral stimulation to come, and I find that a lot easier with a vibrator.
