how many partners have you had?

Contributor: married with children married with children
I have only been with my wife, and she has only been with me. My friends think that is strange when they hear it. But both my wife and I am very happy with being able to share that part of our life, and knowing that it is something that we have only shared with each other.
I am wondering how others feel about their sexual partner count. How many partners have you had? Are you happy with that number? Would you go back and change things if you could?

I don't believe in changing the past - it is what it is, and I think that knowing how much better sex is when you've had a connection with someone vs. if you don't know the person has made me appreciate it all the more.

I voted 10 or more. I actually tell anyone in my real life how many people I've slept with, because I think that number means different things to different people. What matters more is how much you trust the person you're with, whether you enjoy their company, and the quality of the sex between the two of you.

Personally, I stopped caring what people thought about my "number" after I broke 10. I don't care how many people my partner has slept with, either, and I want to be with someone who feels the same. For others, the number is important. It's just a matter of finding someone who shares your beliefs.

I voted 10 or more too and even though I'm not ashamed of it, In hindsight I would have loved to give myself to my partner and him only but live and learn.

I voted 10 or more. I feel no need to explain my answer to anyone. The past is the past I am not ashamed of my past, though I know I did make quite a few mistakes.

I've only been with my boyfriend. And because I plan on staying with him, it's probably going to end up just being him. But I wouldn't have a problem with more given different circumstances.

I voted 10 or more. Go back? If I could go back and change anything, there would be too many things. While I'm not proud of my past, I don't regret it at all because it's the things that happen in life that mold who we are. If I could change every bad choice that I was the victim of, or every bad choice that I made, I have no idea who I'd be. I struggle enough with my own identity without wondering "what if"
