I searched to see if there was already a topic like this and didn't find one. If I just overlooked it, I apologize.
So I guess hybrid lubricants aren't exactly the latest thing, but I don't see a lot posted about them. I sell them like crazy at work when I explain there are pros and cons to both water and silicone. So here's how it breaks down: Water-based is safe with all toy materials, but doesn't last as long, may get sticky, you're more likely to have to reapply, rinses away in the shower or pool, but easy to clean up, etc. Silicone is not compatible with silicone or real-skin toys, but lubricates better, lasts longer, does not get sticky. It is not water-soluble, the plus of which is that you can use it in the shower or underwater and it will not rinse away, but this also makes it a little more difficult to clean up. So when I tell people that hybrid lubes will work better and last longer than plain water, and clean up easier and work with more toys than pure silicone, they buy it right up. Have you tried it, and do you notice a difference. Is it more hype than performance?
