The first time I went to visit my boyfriend I stayed with him for a week. I'm not sure if its just because it was new to me or what but I always wanted to have sex. I would wake him up in the middle of the night because I wanted it. I'm pretty sure I'm a addict, but he doesn't mind

"sex addiction" is a serious thing, but I think I might be a candidate for a mild diagnosis, simply because, even if I have no real desire for it I still NEED to try to get it, or if I see someone who I'm not REALLY attracted to I need to see if I can get them to want me. Idk why, it feels similar to a compulsion tho so honestly yea I think it might be an addiction

No. I love it, want it all the time, but I'm not going to freak out, take advantage of people, etc. in order to get it. There's a huge difference between loving something and being addicted to it. If I don't get it from my husband I'm not going to go out and find someone else to give it to me. I'm "addicted" to being with my husband, I love our intimacy, but am I addicted, only in a loose form of that term.

I'm addicted but I have it under control. I don't let it rule my life, I don't go out every night and have one night stands with strangers, I don't put myself in dangerous situations, I make sure that my partner is a safe person, and I don't go insane if I don't get it every day (I have gone 2 1/2 years without before)..... Even though after a week I can get a bit cranky.

I never really was sex addicted, but when I hit 40 yrs old, it's like a switch turned on. Now, I'm 42 and yes, I obsess about it. My husband's low libido doesn't help. I think that's why I obsess so much. I've never had to go without, but I do a lot now, so that makes me want it even more.

An addiction is an UNHEALTHY use of time or activity that causes HARM to normal life responsibilities. In our case, an active sex life ENHANCES our relationship and makes ALL those other things go WAY better.
So...while I am a gal who CRAVES a good romp with my guy, in NO WAY is it an "addiction".
