Heh, the OP mentioned Webster's. I don't trust dictionaries so much anymore for various reasons. I've kind of argued with people from a few companies over spellings/pronunciatio ns. But that is another tale.
To answer the original question, I use "Masturbation", it is the standard way. If you take out the u, a part of the word's origin of turbare ("to disturb") isn't there?

Personally, I pay a lot of attention to the red squiggly line that shows up under a word whenever it's misspelled, but I know I'm guilty of forgetting to go back and correct something.
