Do your pets get into your "personal space" when you are having sex? What tricks do you use to keep them away?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
We hate throwing our three dogs out of the room, they whine and scratch the door. Our two older ones just sleep and leave us alone, no matter what we are doing, but the puppy...well, he's a challenge. One minute you are in the throws of passion, the next you are both laughing your asses off, since he has his nose thrust into your private areas, or you have a big nose and tongue in your face!!! We tried giving him a rawhide chew, while we play, but obviously "mom and dad" doing it is just more interesting. I hope he grows out of it, but meanwhile, any tips all you animal lovers?

We have a miniature Shnauzer, he is 16+, he can be such a pain when it comes time for romance. He is cute and all but, when it is time to go what a fight.

Pets get locked out of the room. They can learn to deal!

Luckily our dogs are afraid of noises, so when I start slapping her ass they start running!

The door gets shut every time and no animals are allowed in the room. In my opinion, this is an important lesson for dogs to learn - the pack leaders say when and where you are allowed to go. No fussing, no complaining, no talking back.

I have just the opposite situation. One of our dogs is very protective of both of us. When I start slapping her ass (my wife's not the dog's ) she will run toward me like "What the hell do you think you are doing??" Luckily she listens real well when you tell her to go away.

My dog gets locked out of the room for that reason alone. I have tried having sex with her in the room off the bed but she is protective over me and will jump on top of my partner. So no animals in the room she can sit outside and cry at the door.

Our dog will go in her crate while we have sex.

We have cats and sometimes they decide they want to sleep on the bed or cross it to get to another part of the room while we're having sex. We usually just throw them off, or try to feed them right before we go upstairs.

Tried to masturbate last night. My cat was all "what's that?!"

Oh geez all the time. We just put them out of the room.

Yes, we push her off the bed or ignore her, lol

We have cats-so, we just push them off the bed and they leave us alone, or we lock them out of the room and they generally don't mind.

Try giving him one of those toys you fill with peanut butter. This trains them that what your doing is not as fun. Plus it may make him tired.

We have to clothes the doors, but he still sits at them and whines.

We wake him up in the middle of the night, and quietly send him to my son's room before the deed, and we feel guilty as hell...especially when he leaves the room without any complaints.

I remember you mentioned in another thread that your dogs sleep in your bed, maybe that's why they are so upset when they get locked out.

We try to shut them out, but a few times our two cats have slipped in on the sly.

They like to watch. They literally just sit atop the dresser and STARE- it's very alarming since they're so quiet, and you don't notice until you roll over and there's a set of big cat eyes staring you down.

I said yes but it was years ago. We had one dog that would stare at us. All we had to do is tell her to go lay down and she would leave us alone. Then the next dog would pace back and forth and "talk" so would block her downstairs. The dogs we have now could care less.

Yes, my ex's cat would sit on the bed and stare at us while we were doing it. If we put her in the hall and closed the door, she would yowl at us constantly.

We just close them out of the room. (Or into a room, if it'd work better.)

Not my pets, but one of my partner's has 3 cats that will literally lay on our heads during. He thinks nothing of it, but it creeps me out!
