If someone stood at the FOOT of your bed and watched the two of you asleep, which side do YOU take, ladies? Guys? Do you always sleep on the same side of the bed or change it up??? WHY do you sleep on the side you DO sleep on...if it is an "always" thing?

We have our own sides to the bed. She chose the left side because it is closer to the tv. I, by default, get the other side.

I don't know yet... I always picture cuddling up to my guy's right side, though. I can't picture the left. But I also generally sleep facing right, so it would probably be more natural for me to sleep to the left of him (so I'm facing him)... One more thing to make me worry about his visit

We only have sides in the summer. In the summer the boyfriend takes the right side because it's closer to the window. He needs the breeze to cool him off while he sleeps or else I wake up in a pool of his sweat on the bed which is SO unpleasant. Sometimes it's so bad I have to ditch the bed and sleep on the couch. Bleh.

I'm a woman and I sleep on the left. We have always slept this way. Sometimes we sleep on the other side, one of us is on the wrong side and too tired to move.

For some reason, I'm not understanding the whole someone standing at the foot of the bed watching part? I sleep on the outside, but what's the deal with someone watching? Creepy! lol

Left side for me. The other side of the bed is against the wall, so I sleep on the edge since I don't move around a lot and sleep pretty compactly.

I sleep on the left in his bed, but on the right in mine when he's not with me. I sleep on the left in his bed because it's more comfortable for me. The right side of my bed when I'm alone is closest to my nightstand where I keep my phone and laptop.

Before I was with my husband I slept in the middle of my own bed sprawled out. (my daddy used to tell me as a kid that I looked like some sort of road kill victim when I slept. he's odd like that.) After moving in with the hubby though, he has had me on the left side of the bed for the most part. It's funny I saw this post today... here recently, he's been flopping on my side of the bed and declaring it his side of the bed. He did it while I was typing this.

I sleep on the side with the wall. Apparently one night I rolled completely off the lofted bed, smacked against the sink and didn't wake up during the whole ordeal. Since then we've kept me safely sandwiched between him and the wall.

It's a reference to the perspective from which we're using "right" and "left". You sleeping on the right could be from the perspective at the foot of the bed, or at the head of the bed; two very different rights.

...I probably made that sound more confusing...

What is sleeping on the outside...?

I usually sleep on the side near the door as I generally am the last one to go to bed.

To a person looking at us from the foot of our bed, he/she would see my wife on the left and me on the right. Don't know why, just the way we set it up 24 years ago when we married.
