Sex Fact: Sex in the Animal Kingdom

Contributor: Kayla Kayla
Did you know that some female animals have instances of attraction and sexual activity with other female animals? In the book “I Love Female Orgasm”, the authors reference these facts from Biological Exuberance:

Bonobo (pygmy chimpanzee) females will run their genitals together while making sounds and expressions that are believed to be orgasms.

Female squirrel monkeys kiss and have sex with one another. They also “co-mother” each other's children.

Pairs of dolphin females will caress and stroke each other with their fins and snouts.

Other species where females have sex with each other includes warthogs, lions, cheetahs, caribou, and a lot more.

Find more sex facts like this (including the animal facts I didn't list!) in the I Love Female Orgasm book sold here on EdenFantasys.

Did you know about these animal facts? Are there any other animals that you know of that have female/female sexual relations?

The Bonobo society is basically based on sexual relations between all the members. It is considered one of the reasons Bonobos are less aggressive than either Chimpanzees or Gorillas, and why they may also have less violence in their family groups. They use sex to relieve tension between the members and gender doesn't really play into who they have sex with. Bonobos will usually have sex with anyone in their group (but they do seem to avoid incest most of the time) and it helps to keep the group together and keep most of them calm and getting along with each other. Many animals practice bisexual behavior frequently.

My family owned a female horse who would only go in heat if there was another female present.

Looks like some things ARE born gay.

My man loves studying sexuality among animals and correlating it to human behavior, so I've heard most of these.
