So we own a hottub and though we do fool around in it alot, we dont actually have sex cause i am not on the pill so i am curious if anyone has ever used a condom successfully in a hot tub or the water. Aside from all the general things like lack of lube and water washing away my natural lube i want to know if anyone has encountered other problems with it?

One big thing: That water that is kept right around body temperature, with no immune system is a wonderful place for bacteria to flourish... and every thrust is going to force minute amounts of that water into you.


That alone is bad enough, but then take into consideration that the chemicals used to clean the water or even just to make it safe for drinking can wreak havoc on your natural PH, which can in turn cause horrid problems with your own natural bacteria being thrown out of whack.

We've probably have had five hot tubs and spas over the years. Yes, we have had sex in them, many a time. No, I have never used a condom. Aside from that, we have not had any problems with them. We always kept up with the required chemicals, and doing the proper cleaning. Worst case, you change the water, and your good to go.
