Still learning after all these years. Bedside water pitcher/cups. Anyone else do this???

when having LONG lovemaking session, I think often it would be nice to have a sip of water. We sometimes get up, go to the sink and get some with a cupped hand (the kitchen is on the other end of the house). For a while, my wife started bringing a cup to leave on the nightstand, but it is really nice wood and would leave water marks or if she put something under the cup, it would still "sweat" and wet the wood.

We were at HOME GOODS a couple days ago, and they had a "breakfast serving tray" for coffee. A little insulated carafe, of stainless steel and two insulated cups on a neat little silver tray that was even insulated on the bottom with cork type material to not scratch surfaces.

I bought that and now fill it with ICE WATER, and keep it on the nightstand, when we know we are going to do some long, hard, playing. Even if we don't I fill it and keep it there at night. Even the following morning the water is still ice cold!!! It's wonderful.

Anyone else make provisions for bedside water or snacks when they are going to do an "all nighter" or at least an "all afternooner"???? What do YOU keep available at the bedside for "refreshment", regularly???

We keep water bedside for practical reasons. I tend to take a drink at least a couple of times per night - maybe it's the dry southwest air. So when the sex gets our throats dry - we just reach for a quick refresh and move on. Nothing planned or exotic about it.

We keep ice water in a thermos by the bed at night as well. Surprising how often it comes in handy, even if we're not pulling an "all-nighter".

I've always used a nalgene water bottle, or something like it. And if I use ice, a coaster works well under there

Thanks for the idea - I'll give it a try.

We always have something to drink at our bedside. We get thirsty.

A bottle of water is perfect. I have a nice stainless steel water bottle that I keep filled throughout the day but a plastic water bottle will do just as well. I take lots of pills at night, and have to stay mega-hydrated throughout the day to ward off kidney stones. I always have to have water nearby.
