For us it's usually just getting busy doing other things and staying up so late we're too tired to bother. Or one of us starts feeling bad.

Hubby falling asleep. He drives truck, so he doesn't sleep well during the week.

My wife bailed tonight - the ubiquitous headache.

Sometimes, no matter how much you both want it, busy lives just seem to get in the way.

Our work schedules are completely different. We barely get to see each other most days. Some days I don't see him at all.

Usually it's fatigue since my husband works 2 jobs and I'm tired all the time anyway.

It doesn't happen to us very often, but when it does it's usually someone not feeling good or too exhausted. We don't cancel for headaches though, it has to be something more major - kidney stone, shingles, fever, major stomach issues, etc. (For minor stuff like headaches, I find sex is generally very helpful and a good pain reducer!)

Occasionally plans with friends will pop up on our scheduled date night, and when that happens we just reschedule our date night for a different night. It works well for us, and it helps to make each other a priority.

it's either "I don't feel well" or "I'm not in the mood" I on the other hand have never bailed

Sex cures headaches.

Usually it's because we've exhausted ourselves at work and are just so tired that we end up falling asleep as soon as we hit the pillows. It can be frustrating at times because I need those moments to feel connected.

Usually it's because of life interruptions going on like an emergency with our kids or a medical issue.

I had to read this to see what "bailed sex" was. I rarely say no, but would have to be really sick or extremely tired/upset to not have it.

Migraines, not headaches. Or I'm just too exhausted.

Mulder's estranged wife was on her way over with their child, and called him to say "TAKE THE KID OR I WILL KILL HIM!" ... and that pretty much allowed Mulder to bail on our FWB arrangement altogether (he was looking for an excuse, anyway).

Although I think the most insulting I've had was while I was married ... he blamed me for killing his (already non-existent) libido.

Otherwise, there's never been bailing.

I only bail if I had an "upset stomach" or if I am having vaginal pain due to small tears or cramping.

I'm not usually the one that bails. My husband has issues with being tired a lot and that's usually the reason for it.
