I'd like to know if anyone else was masturbating before they knew it was sexual. I can't be the only woman who knew about sex but didn't make the connection. Rubbing against a blanket doesn't much resemble a penis in a vagina.

I had a vague idea about sex, but I didn't fully understand how sex worked when I started masturbating at age 11. I had never even seen a girl or woman naked (not even a picture) before seeing porn a year or so later.

Nope. Not at all. It's really common for young kids to masturbate but I can't remember that ever happening with me.

I observed my daughter masturbating from a young age - to young to have a concept of sex. I never observed the same behavior in my son - nor do I remember masturbating before puberty. Although as I entered puberty I didn't fully comprehend what sex entailed - I did have an idea.
