Personally, I laugh if called a whore or hoe.
03/13/2011
Only my Master ever calls or has called me a whore and it's done sexually so it's never offensive.
03/13/2011
I voted yes because the only person who has ever called me a whore is my husband and only in the heat of the moment when he is really worked up and I know he is doing it to be sexual not to be offensive.
03/13/2011
It can be, everything is contextual. What I wouldn't mind a friend saying to me can be a serious dis when a stranger says it.
03/13/2011
I think it depends on who is saying it, but I usually consider it offensive.
03/13/2011
It kind of depends. On a semantics level, it's used to shame people who're sexually promiscuous or involved in the sex industry, so it's technically a slur on that notion.
Granted, I probably wouldn't mind being called a slut or a whore in the bedroom. Beyond that, I call people out.

In general, yes. In certain contexts it wouldn't bother me though.

Entirely depends on the context.
03/14/2011
I don't get offended because I know that I am not one of those...people can call me names all they want

XD Yeah, I'm the same. If I'm called one it's only with my boyfriend, so why should I care about someone else's opinion.:/ It's only a word anyways.

It depends on the context I suppose. I like "dirty little whore" occasionally in the bedroom, or joking with my friends like "omg, you whore!" But if some random asshole called me one for no reason I'de be pissed

I am into dirty talk so if me and my sweetie are having hot sex then .... actually I think I would prefer slut to whore.

I feel like even if it's said in a joking way it's still offensive. I can't think of a way justify calling someone a whore and have it be a good thing.
03/15/2011
I've honestly never been called a whore and I'm not a whore so if I was ever called one I would probably just laugh...
03/15/2011
I guess it depends who says it, but usually the anyone who would say something like that and mean it in an offensive hurtful way probably doesn't know you very well in the first place. I don't think I'd take offense at being called one either way.
03/15/2011
Depends on the tone, person, place, and time
03/15/2011
I voted no,because even though the person who says it means it to be offensive,it honestly only amuses me.I know I'm not a whore,my guy knows I'm not a whore, and most of the time I know that the person who has called me that has no leg to stand on based on their own behavior.
03/16/2011
And on that note,me and my friends are always calling each other whores-"I can't believe you did that, you're such a whore"
But I respect my friends, and I know they aren't whores.Hell,I've even called my man a whore, and he laughed and posted it on fb.It really just depends on the person, but to me its just a joke when I'm called a whore because I know I'm above that

..."other"?
I think whore can only be used if you know the other person is okay with it.

Not in the context of sexy play, for me. I tend to like it
03/17/2011
Context-dependent. I love it as part of sex play; I'd kill whoever said it to me in seriousness.
03/17/2011
I just got called a whore yesterday by my guys ex (she hates me),and all I felt was pity and amusement towards her.
03/17/2011
I'm torn. I hate it outside of the bedroom, but during play it is one of my hot buttons!
I think it's really stupid for a woman to call another woman a whore in this day and age. It's laughable coming from a man, especially given the probability his belt has far more notches than mine.

I don't find it offensive in any context. In bed it's a turn on. With a friend it's funny. And if a stranger says it I think, "takes one to know one."
