What's in a name?

In bed, I wouldn't like being called a whore or a slut. Even if I am promiscuous by certain standards, I am here with you, right now, and that's what you should be focusing on. Outside of the bedroom, I might be okay with it jokingly, or maybe even somewhat seriously. I would want the person to be aware of how much sex I am actually having before they make that judgment, though.

one time hubby tried talk me like oh u a dirty girl gonna b my whore i was so pist that went over the line so far! i dont mind being his whore but its another thing to talk to me with the respect of a porn star no thanks. but to others who say im a whore i just simply say so what i just know how to have fun.

I think it depends on the situation. If you are in a scene and it comes out its less offencive then in other situations.

I get very offended by it, depending on who says it and how it's said. A past abuser kept calling me various words including whore, so it kinda brings back really unpleasant memories...

However, if I'm in a relationship and I'm really turned on, I probably wouldn't mind so much if my guy said it.

I voted no because I haven't been called a whore except in high school, but I've never had anyone call me a whore because they actual thought of me that way. I guess if I really were one then I couldn't get offended either, but it's something I'd not think much about. If someone called me a whore seriously though (depending who) I would probably be upset and maybe more pissed that they thought they could get away with talking badly about me, but I wouldn't take the whore part to heart too much. I think it's a word girls just like to use when they are jealous or don't like another female. I certainly don't think it's a nice thing to call someone!

If it were a male and he said it in a non-joking way, I'd be pissed off big!

Actually... I just thought of this! A couple of weeks ago a girl who'd been stalking (literally! and even with the kids in the car!) me a few months ago had left a comment on my blog that said whore. So I guess I HAVE been called one in an extremely mean way lately! Lol. I laughed a little, but was upset that she's starting to come around now that the police have laid off. We thought it was over with, but now I don't know if she's back to stalking or not. I wasn't really upset about the whore comment it's used so often in little girl fights, but yes, it can be offensive and I don't use the word very often, not even joking.

I don't want anyone to call me a whore. I once told my best friend I felt kinda slutty but he told me by definition I was far far from a slut adn I think it offended him that I thought that of myself.

Yes and no for me. I think when a random person calls me a whore it is offensive. My Mistress calls me whore, but I know She says it lovingly. I am Her little kitty whore.

I still can't say that it offends me. My guys ex sits there, repeatedly calling me a whore, a slut, and a bitch. She never slept with him, knows nothing about me or my sexual past, but wonders about it. It makes me laugh, knowing she is so insecure and jealous. I broke up a girls lover group (she was sleeping around with multiple people at a time), and she called me a whore as well. But, its like water, I tilt my head and it all flows away. Maybe I get mad for a minute, but then I think of who it is saying the words, and I smile. It doesn't make me angry anymore. I feel a level of maturity far beyond the words those silly girls speak.
