I use my hands/fingers all the time. I started doing this before I knew what it was called as a kid. I knew it wasn't something you wanted to mention or do someplace like in the middle of class at school or on the couch next to your family out of politeness. But somehow for me it just got grouped into the personal private stuff you do like bathing or using the restroom: not shameful or wrong but just something you do like a normal bodily function. Then about the time I hit puberty I learned there were different terms or words for it and what the result was called and that if I did it while I daydreamed about things like boys it got intensely better.
