I'm not bi myself, but I have friends that are, and I've gotten into arguments with people over the fact that somebody can indeed be bisexual, they're not just having a hard time choosing.

Do you mean in a relationship or just coming out in general?

We've heard that before. Our answer to that is "Why?"

Which do you prefer? Do you get to have a boyfriend and a girlfriend at the same time?
I came out as bi when I was in middle school, so I am sure some people thought it was a phase but I dont remember anyone saying it to me.

When it came to my family it was "oooh that's nasty". Lucky for them, it was just a phase for me.

THIS! I hate this so much. I used to argue with one of my coworkers at least once a month about how I was not just indecisive about my sexuality.

I also hear that I can't be bi because I'm married as if somehow sexuality cuts off when you get married. Not sure how that works. Does one stop being heterosexual if they get married, as well? Still like girls, just happened to marry a guy.

Same here, not the married part, but I'm in a relationship with a man... Though I'm genderfluid, so that's how I counter when they want to argue with me over how I can be Pan (Bi's close cousin) if I'm with a man... Simple, I'm the one that's more than one gender.
