I have a friend who I think may be struggling with their sexual identity. I know it's not my place to assume or push, but does anyone have any suggestions of some way I can help them?

Sometimes it helps to just ask when you're driving around with a person and you have no where to be. Ask casually, and they may just start spilling to you. Or you could try talking about the LGBTQ community and try make him/her feel comfortable enough to start talking about what's been on their mind.
