I don't have any experience with "scissoring" but I've talked to a few of my friends who have tried it without it doing anything for them. I was wondering what other people's experiences with it are. Did it do anything for you? Does that position feel good with shared toys? Or is it a complete hetero-man-made myth?

We've tried, but without much success. It definitely takes some work to get into that position and make sure it's not hurting any of the joints. ^^' (We both have weak wrists, so putting a lot of weight on them does not work for very long.) It depends on a lot of factors. I was able to do it with one of my exes because she had a lot of loose skin and I could "move" things where they needed to be, and we could rub in a sort of Lotus position. I could do it with another ex because we were both fairly flexible, but the scissor position worked best. However, my current girlfriend isn't very flexible, so we cannot partake.

I have not tried to use toys with that.

I've tried it out several times with my wife, and it sometimes works best with toys(we placed a vibrating wand between ourselves)but you will need lots of lube unless you are very flexible.
The way most females genitals are placed its very hard to press both of them together just so. Soft double ended dildos are great for scissoring though.

I've never had the opportunity to scissor with a woman (and if my current relationship goes as I think and hope it will, I never will) but it looks to me as though it should work.
