I will preface this with that I feel kinda silly - it seems like a sex 101 type question. But usually I date boys, or other masculine-type presenting folks, and have never had long fingernails myself, so this hasn't been an issue before.

My girlfriend is a rather feminine individual, and as such keeps her fingernails long. Not super long, but long enough that I can definitely feel them when she puts fingers in me. I'm not worried about it being a safety issue and it doesn't hurt too bad, but it's not really a feeling I like. I find the sharpness of the sensation detracts from my overall arousal. I can also feel them when she plays around my clit too, which is similarly distracting.

For her own reasons, trimming her fingernails is not an option. Are there options other than gloves to dull the pinchy-y feeling?

Gloves are probably the cheapest, easiest to find option, but you could also try silcione finger sleeves which would last longer and probably provide even more protection from being able to feel the nail.

I would say gloves or finger sleeves, if she's really adamant about not trimming her fingernails.

I guess I would go with glove as the others have said. I'm not too sure what other options you might have.

I have always been curious about long nails, bcs in porn the girls have fake nails and soemtimes they finger each other vaginally or anally, I was always a little freaked out about how painful it could be.

That too!

It would be cool if she could take a break once in a while from the long nails.

If the glove or finger covers don't work you might want to checkl those textured covers you can out on dildos, I am not sure about the whether those would be too big or not for fingers but you could still check those out.

There are a few ways to get around this; the first would be having your girlfriend practice fingering you in a way that her nails are almost "shielded' so they don't scratch your vagina. It's tricksy, but totally possible, and the practice is kinda fun.

The second would be for your girlfriend to wear gloves with small pieces of cotton balls in the tips--this is only necessary if she has talons, rather than fingernails

Good idea about the cooton balls! I thought about something similar but it sounded too funny in my mind (puttign banadages i nthe fingers).

long nails are so bad for you inside! watch out for yeast infections with those things the scraping inside can also cause other infections.
Your partner should really cut them or keep them out of you. Maybe get her to strap one on instead.

I keep my nails short, but a glove with pieces of cotton in the finger tips is a great idea for people who want to keep their long nails

i've always wondered about this.. finger sleeves/covers/toys seems like the best possible solution, next to cutting her nails. hopefully you can work something out!
