There have been a few times recently when I've been asked why I stay at Eden Fantasies if I'm so unhappy here? I've been called a trouble-maker and a attention seeker. When I was the most frustrated with Eden recently, I asked for help understanding why I want to make it better. I didn't get it. I got enough nastiness that I wanted to completely walk away from Eden. I also learned a few more things that I didn't like.
So I did some thinking and I did some research. As consumers, you buy a product because of price/quality. You stop because it's too expensive for the quality or for ethical/moral reasons. My problems with Eden have to do with communication and honesty.
I have been with Eden a long time. Except for one local store, I do not shop at any other store, nor do I review for any other stores. I thought about if it would be the right decision to walk away. Leaving Eden would not make it a better company. For me, I'm not leaving for two reasons. It's a relationship, and relationships require work. I'm not a quitter.
The reason that is relevant to everyone is that I believe Eden is the best online sex toy store there is.
Several people have mentioned that I should review for another company. I looked around at the other online shops. I looked at products sold that I'm familiar with. I looked for a reviewer presence- onsite, not offsite merely on blogs, I looked for sex-forums. From the web-site alone, there is nothing that compares. Eden sells a very good product, at what I believe is a good price with a lot of convenience. I know my way around the site.
From the research that I've done, I would not be surprised if Eden is the #1 in online sex-toy sales. They have a very strong internet presence and I believe they are working hard to actively build it. I'm impressed that someone at Eden understands this as well as they appear to. Many policies make sense in light of this business objective.
I'm loyal to Eden. Loyal to Eden without incentives for frequent buyer or credit for being a higher- ranked reviewer. (Minor changes in the policy recently do acknowledge rank, but that was after I started this.) It doesn't matter. I have my own sense of commitment, because I've decided that the company is actually the best out there- even with their flaws.
I've recently seen some very substantial improvements in the company including a better communication of some of the reviewer policies. There have been many others since the time of my first review. I have hope that there will be others.
Can you say that you stay at Eden for any reason more than just liking free toys?
(In light, of some prior experience on the forum, I asked a Eden staff member for objections to posting this.)
