Earlier this month I signed up on Fanbox.com, it is a blogging site where you get paid when people read your posts. I have been doing pretty well on it and wanted to share it with you all.

Now I don't think its ok to write about sex toys or sexually explicit stuff which is totally no fun but I have been posting my recipes, funny videos, and about my experiences with cancer.

I am really excited about it but also skeptical, i don't completely understand where all the money comes from to pay the bloggers. You have to wait 60 days before you can cash out and then it takes the a while to get you the check from what i have seen and heard on the site.


I think its worth a try, If you sign up make sure you fan me naughtykittyrae and i will fan you back just let me know your from eden.

you don't have to put any money into it if you don't want to, thats why i wasn't completely sketched out lol

I do believe most blogging sites allow you to get paid for advertisements on your blog. I'm sure the money you're getting paid is still from advertising. Usually it's some pennies per ad shown when people visit or much more if people click the ads/links.

yea thats pretty much how it works, just seeing how much some people are making its hard to understand how that adds up

No I have not gotten paid from them yet they make you wait 60 days before you can cash out. I will post on here as soon as I do get the money

I'm wondering how they pay you.

If they send you a check or even pay you through PayPal, I might not worry. I wouldn't however, give someone my access to my bank account to "allow" them to pay me. (I'm guessing this [italic|isn't one of those sites. I did want to mention it.)

So update, I did get paid I cashed out with paypal. Paypal does take fees, and Fanbox took a 28 percent fee because I didn't fill out the W9 form. ( don't have a working printer so I was unable to sign)

It took about 2 weeks for the payment to process, I cashed out $190 and received $136.80 after the fees.

You don't have to pay anything out of your pocket to blog I suggest you give it a try, nothing to loose but a little bit of time ( reading and writing blogs)

There is a new student program where if you sign up you are able to pick a mentor by going to there profile and clicking choose mentor or something of that sorts
