For instance, I stopped at CVS last night (Christmas Eve), to get a heating pad for my buggered up shoulder. There had to be 100 people in there "gift buying". Perfume, dog beds, make up, toys, etc. Mind you, this was past eleven PM, Christmas eve.

One guy confided in me, "I honestly forgot it was the 24th. I am a night security guard on a car lot and work alone. I sleep all day, so don't have on the TV or Radio most of the time. I listen to pre-recorded music on my rounds and don't see a soul all night. I seriously thought I had two more days to shop and was going to go to the mall tomorrow to shop for my family. Oh well, whatever they are getting had better be here"!

Usually no, I don't really buy Christmas gifts. November and December are busy months for me. It's not that I don't celebrate the holiday, it's just I'm not really around for Christmas. I do make up for it to the people that matter to me though. I'm not a total Scrooge.

I prefer mail order now days. Getting to the point where I buy everything but food and gasoline online. No crowds, no waiting, no driving. Love it. However I am guilty of being a last minute shopper. I also have been guilty of just giving cash instead.

Nothing wrong with cold hard Cash. It's the best way to get something you can't ask for from someone else without serious judgement.
